Rich, yes Sir it can. XS Sights makes a Big Dot and Standard Dot sight set that replaces the 586 L Comp's pinned front sight. I would see if they have just the front sight available without the rear adjustable post sight : ---- https://www.xssights.com/Products.aspx?CAT=8373
