Virgilio, Yes the slide functions smoothly. Just not a lot of slide to grab hold of.

As long as your hands are operationally good then you have no issue. If you have arthritis or something it will be a bit harder.

Virgilio, the Taurus 92 has a slide cut-out that reduces the slide weight by design and has a moderate rack effort compared to other full size pistols. This will be subjective as folks have different grip strengths. I would go to a local gun store and try it and other pistols to see what is right for you.
