David, depends on shot placement and the 22. 22lr or 22-250. I know you mean 22lr so a 9mm averages 315 ft/lbs of energy and 3 or 4 22lr will average the same. Cheers!
Oh, that's a technical one. Some may kill a person with one shot while other will require more to drop or kill. Shot placement is a key factor. In most cases, people who are shot with a 22lr will not know it's a 22lr, unless they recognize the firearm used. I've read stories where people who were shot in the hand died due to being scared. I guess it will also depend on the size of the person both height and width. I have a friend who you might like when it comes to 22lr. His name is Paul. Actually, he has a channel online.
