Yes, it definitely can. Which ammo is best will be the ammo your rifle shoots best with. What my rifle likes best might not be best for your rifle even though they're the same rifle. I recommend shooting groups at 100 yards with at least 10 different types of ammo brands. The more the better, as you will see what your rifles likes best. I do prefer boat-tail ammo.
