Mike, no Sir. A safety issue can exist when a hunter has cocked his rifle and then decides not to take the shot. Typically, he will gently squeeze the trigger and use his thumb to ease the hammer down.

My brotha this thing has one of them half cocked situations. There's kind of none then again there is my bro the half cocked way. These are one of them guns not seeing much at the range.
