Hector, yes Sir. Colt rates this revolver as +P capable. This frame can handle 357 Magnum so +P 38Spcl is definitely ok.

This gun will safely shoot all factory loads from light target to +P. You should start by loading up a nice light to medium load for practice and save the +P for carry and self defense. While rated for +P it will always be a little harder on the gun and you. +P can be rather unpleasant to shoot a lot of in small revolvers. I carry a snub nose .38 everyday and shoot it a lot with range loads and carry hot JHPs but I don't carry +P.
