No, the shells don't fly when the action is opened up. You'd have to remove the shells by hand or flipping the chambers upside down and help the shells slide out. It was my pleasure to somewhat assist you.

Colton, No ejector just an extractor. So when you open action after firing shell the extractor pulls shell casing up about 1/4" for the shooter to manually pull out and reload. Very typical in break action shotguns.
