Robert, 10rds for Semi-Auto Handgun and Rifles. Details here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/california_restrictions.pdf
10 bullets only.
In most cases, the maximum capacity will be 10 Rounds. There are exceptions to the law. For example, tube fed rifles do not have any restrictions when it comes to ammunition capacity. Certain single action revolvers are also exempt from the 10 round capacity. For example, Uberti makes a revolver that holds 12 rounds of 22 long rifle. That revolver meets the overall length required by law, the barrel length, and most hold at least five rounds. Therefore, making that 12 round Revolver legal in California. Again that is only for certain single action revolvers. For a semi-automatic it is 10 Rounds. It was my pleasure to assist you.
