There's a Novak-like cut in the Nitron's slide that allows for some better options in the rear sight department (e.g., target sights). SIG's done the right thing, installing some first rate night sights.

The rear sight on this pistil is dovetailed but it has s notch cut in the rear to accommodate the the adjustable portion of the sight

This is SIG's Traditional 1911. It has the standard slide profile (means it will fit a standard 1911 holster), the original extractor ( not SIG's proprietory extractor) and a Bomar cut with a Bomar style rear sight.
