RVR stands for Reversible Front which will allow you to rotate the front base 180 degrees in order to obtain the correct mounting position for your scope. Generally a High ring will be required to mount a 56mm objective however it is always a good idea to measure to make sure you select the correct height ring. In order to determine the correct ring height ,you will need to measure 3 things: 1. The height of the front of your base/rail from the barrel. 2. The height of your rings from the top of the rail to the center of the ring. 3. The outside diameter of the objective bell of the scope (not the size of the objective lens) Here is the equation: [rail height + ring height] - [bell diameter x 0.5] If the value is positive, then your bell will clear the barrel.
