yes the buffer tube is milspec I also have a sport II and I have a Magpul Milspec stock on it

This is milspec for sure. I also have a Sport ll with Magpul furniture.

Artie, Stock and Buffer Tube are Mil-Spec Sir.  I would highly recommend going with the Mission First also.
