Albert, it does sound excessive. I have owned a Derringer in the past and the trigger pull was around 10lbs that I remember. Hopefully it will be much improved when you get it back. Cheers!

sounds like something is not right in the trigger I also would have sent it back for them to look at it Good luck

Albert, Pretty sure the attorneys will not let them lighten the trigger. Derringer triggers are heavy. 20 lb pull is quite an exaggeration. About 10 to 12 lbs is very standard on a derringer. They are meant to be used when your heart is pumping. One or two shots. Not a range or target gun.
