Joe, no Sir, a larger chamber shotgun can shoot any shorter shell no issue. Cheers!

It will work fine with both 3 inch and 2 3/4 inch shells. the mini shells will fire and eject but may have problems chambering

Joe, This shotgun will handle any 12 GA round 3" and down. Will perform like a champ with 2 3/4" shells.
