The FFL will not release the firearm or do other paperwork if the person picking it up is not the actual buyer. I also want to thank you for protecting our country. USA USA USA.

If it wasn't illegal, I would say to send them the money, let them order it, and pick it up. When you come home they could give it to you as a welcome home present. as everyone else has said, Thank you for your service.
