I am trying to purchase a handgun and get it shipped to my current residents in Colorado. I moved to Colorado in June, but I knew this was a temporary location and I would be moving back to Kansas within a year so I have not gotten a new Colorado license. I know you need a Colorado license to buy a gun in the store in Colorado but will I need to have a Colorado license to pick up from the FFL location or will a valid Kansas ID work?

Tanner, you will need a Colorado license to purchase a handgun by state law. Only long guns can be purchased across state lines without being a resident. Stay Safe Sir!

You will need a Colorado license unless you are military stationed in Colorado the you would need a copy of your military orders
