I have an old colt 1927, its basically a 1911a, hollow points are not recommended for chambering issues. Will this flex tip have chambering issues if ball ammo is recommended for my old 45?

it should not however every old 1911 is different and the ONLY way t know for sure is to try some

Out of experience from a similar situation but different gun, I'd  give it a shot (no pun intended). Mine worked with similar rounds but then it started having issues. Again different caliber and different gun.

Just me but …. this is pretty hot ammo for self defense in modern handguns … I wouldn't want to shoot this in an older classic like you have … I'd stick with the ammo that's was recommended for it.....  but it's your gun....
