the gun you ordered is no approved in CA by the CA DOJ in-fact no shield 2.0 models are approved here are the approved S&W 9mms https://www.oag.ca.gov/firearms/certified-handguns/search?make=151003. as to your other question CA laws make it hard on the manufacturers to get their guns approved if you even just change the color you have to resubmit the gun and pay the state to test and certify it.
