more info to help explain it  "As part of the legal definition, a "shotgun" must be made to be fired from the shoulder. Since Mossberg fits a new receiver with a pistol grip at the factory, the Shockwave falls under the definitions in the Gun Control Act of 1968, which calls it a "Pistol Grip Only Firearm." That's why the Shockwave doesn't fall under the National Firearms Act rules and doesn't require a tax stamp."

Jason, yes Sir, this is legal in Florida. Due to the birds head grip and not pistol grip, it is classified as a Firearm and not a Shotgun same as the legal Mossberg Shockwave. Overall Length: 26.60"
