My wife is 64 years old, and has severe arthritis in her hands, and in unable rack the slide on most semi-auto, she had a charter arms .38 but it got hard for to pull the trigger. Do you have any suggestions on what she can carry and shoot and have a good time at the range.

To be honest, I would recommend a revolver. Revolvers don't require any racking of a slide. She might even like a single action revolver. I'm sure you know how single actions can easily be shot with the light trigger pulls and easy loading. Also, a lot of 22 long rifle semi-automatic firearms are pretty easy to rack. There are just various firearms that are centerfire that are easy to manipulate. But if she has serious arthritis I would just recommend sticking to a revolver. It was my pleasure to give you my input.

Hello sweets.I'm sorry for her condition. Maybe before shooting you guys should ask your doctor if it's okay for her to be shooting guns. I don't know Mark about guns having easy usage. I know that S&W EZ 380 is good. EZ... Happy shootin!

A semi auto 22 cal would be easy to rack and a bunch more fun at the range as the ammo is inexpensive compared to center fire they also have very little recoil. There are hundreds of inexpensive 22 autos out there like the ATI GSG firefly with the threaded barrel for a can.
