Mark, due to specific 308 head spacing in this .308 chamber, .308 has the potential for greater accuracy due to the bullet being seated in the chamber cone much tighter.

Mark, You will find .308 match rounds generally to be more accurate in this gun then 7.62 rounds. Good luck finding some .308 ammo at this time.
