some guns have conversions available and some do not off the top of my head you can get a conversion for a 1911, a beretta 92, Glock, Springfeld XD,  S&W M&P. when you have  a specific pistol in mind post and we may be able to give you more answers

You can buy a Glock 19! Which is 9mm and then you can shoot 22lr from that Glock 19 with a 22lr conversion kit such as the following one: https://www.glockstore.com/22-LR-Conversion-Kit-for-Glocks?quantity=1&custcol7=65 The Glock 19 is the most popular firearm.
