No. The firearm has to get to your FFL and you have to go there when the FFL tells you to go to fill out paperwork. Once they submit the paperwork then you wait for 10 days from when you leave that day, as simply waiting for the firearm to get there doesn't constitute a background check, because no background check has been submitted yet. Make sure your FFL is open as not all FFL dealers are open here in California. The background check takes only minutes, but California politicians make us wait for 10 days.
