Thomas, this rifle has a 26" extra heavy, free-float 1" diameter button-rifled barrel with a 1 in 10" twist rate. This rifle has neither a muzzle brake nor is threaded. It weighs 10lbs and with a scope will be heavier and recoil will not be as bad as one would think due to the weight.

it does not have a threaded barrel or a muzzle brake it is a heavy rifle 10 lbs and I can assure you that the recoil will be less than my winchester featherweight model 70 in 300 win mag
