Just got mine from my FFL yesterday and looking forward to plinking. The manual that was included said not to use BX-1 for 10/22 mags but to use Magnum JMX-1 mags (it's calling this rifle a Magnum Rifle?). It also says not to load 22 short, long, or LR ammo into the rifle. Is this true? There are so many posts saying this thing eats everything. Which is it? Can I follow the mag posts from Emmanuel on this thread (use BX-1)?

Christopher, looks like you got the manual for a 22 Magnum. This rifle is Caliber : 22 Long Rifle (LR) and BX-1 Magazines will work just fine. You should be able to download the correct 22LR manual from Ruger's website.

check the barrel of the rifle and make sure you got a 22lr gun as it sound like either you gat a 22m gun or a 22 mag manual if it is a 22lr then the BX1 is the correct mag
