Hi Billy, the barrel length and trigger guards are very similar between the PT 809 and the VP9. The actual part of the gun that fits in the holster will work. The issue I see is that the PT 809 is an inch longer than the VP9 and you will have an issue with the retention strap and fastener not being able to be closed..
