yes 38 special can be used in a 357 mag with no problems you will need to clean the cylinder (if you shoot a lot of 38 super) good to prevent a carbon ring from building up and making it hard to load the longer 357 rounds
Yes you can shoot .38 Special in any .357 Magnum revolver. The .357 and .38 are the same size except the .357 is slightly longer to hold more powder and make higher pressures. This is how the .357 was developed by making the ,38 case longer. They are often loaded with the same bullets. NOTE>>> You can't shoot .357 mags in a gun labeled .38 Special … they won't fit. AND DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SHOOT .38 SUPER IN YOUR REVOLVER. .38 Super is a rimless case made for semi-auto pistols not for your revolver.
