Charles, I am not sure on the Carbon version. It should have the same tap point for a Front Sight as the non carbon pistol however, I would confirm this directly with Smith and Wesson Customer Service at 1-800-331-0852 Mon-Fri 8:00AM-5:00PM Eastern Time.

It is not drilled/tapped for a front sight from the factory.
