Rick, my wife is 120lbs and have no issues with this subcompact or Taurus G2C. Just stick with standard 115 to 124 grain ammunition and she should be fine. I recommend going to a dealer with shooting range that rents firearms and letting her shoot a few models for a better idea of what she likes as recoil is very subjective.
