Neal, Put a CO compliant 15 round or less capacity firearm in your cart. Pick an FFL in your area from BUDs list. Pay for it. And wait. Nothing special for you. Your FFL will do the background check on your lilly white record when you fill out your 4473 form on transfer. Just the 15 round capacity on firearms. Here are the CO regulations for you to read.---------https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/colorado_restrictions.pdf
The background check process is handled with the FFL dealer you have the gun shipped to in CO and isn't part of the purchase process here. The dealer will receive the firearm and have you fill out the necessary paperwork, assuming they receive a "proceed" from the instant background check system they will then transfer the firearm to you. Colorado does have a magazine capacity restriction of 15 rounds so you will need to find guns that satisfy that requirement in order to have them sent there.
Neal, it is relatively easy Sir. Just find a handgun you like, place it in your cart - Select your local FFL Dealer - pay and wait for Buds tracking info when shipped (understand there is an up to 15 day delay) - when received your FFL Dealer will contact you to come in and do the paperwork/background check - when approved, inspect your handgun, pay the $25 to $40 transfer fee and you walk out with your new handgun. Cheers and stay safe Sir!
