Hi Clarence, normally any steel contained in the bullet is a no no as it will certainly attract a magnet. Also steel cased bullets will attract a magnet regardless of what the projectile is made of. There are many inexpensive brands of target ammunition that are brass cased using copper plated lead bullets.
