H&R website says the magazine capacity is 5. I am sure that is with 2 3/4" shells. So with 1 in the chamber, that would make 6. Probably only 4 of the 3" shells in the magazine.

Joseph, the H&R has a 5 round tube magazine and will hold 5 + 1 (6 rounds total) with a shell in the chamber. Don't forget too plug for hunting if required in your State. Cheers and stay safe!
