The photos of the rifle show "Made in China" on it so I'd believe it to be true.

Yes - It is made in china and distributed in the USA via American Tactical. Not sure if that changes your mind on the gun or not. http://www.nova-vista.co/ here is the company home page

Dave, Macau China is the place of manufacture. Pyramid Air ,who came up in a google search, had Country of Origin information mixed up between this and another PCP Air Rifle. My mistake, I should have searched more than one source. Cheers!
