You will want to stick with FMJ ammo (full metal jacketed) for most of your practice. Buy ammo from a well known manufacturer like Federal, Winchester, Remington or Sig Sauer. Most can be found in bulk lots of 500-1000 rounds at good prices. I stay away from the real cheapo stuff because it can be dirty, smoky and inconsistent. There are an amazing number of good defense rounds available these days. Here you want to stick with the good stuff. I've had really good results with Hornady, Sig and Liberty Civil Defense. Try a couple of boxes of several brands and bullet weights. Not all ammo works great in every gun, so you need to find what your gun likes best. Once you find what functions the best and has good accuracy for you, buy enough to practice with too. Always practice with what you're going to carry. Hoppe's is one of the most respected names in the business and has everything you'll ever need to clean a gun. I like Gun Scrubber spray to reach those hard to get to places. Also

The Storm has a barrel that rotates and stays in the same plane rather than tips to unlock so finding ammo that functions well should not be a problem. Winchester White Box is always a good choice for practice. As for cleaning all I can add is that a bore snake is very useful for cleaning when time is an issue or you have not gotten the gun incredibly filthy.
