Andrew, the Adams Arms is a mid-length, shot stroke, piston operated rifle. It is extremely reliable and runs super clean due to the short stroke piston. I do not own it but, have put several rounds through my brother's gun and have not had a single issue. Since my brother swears by his, I'm saving up the $ for an Adams Arms Piston Rifle. Everything I have is direct impingement and I like the idea of a piston gun. Cheers and stay safe!
