Rodney, not in my opinion. Functionally you won't get $600 worth of extra benefit, only the "Bragging Rights" of owning a $600 more pistol. Cheers and stay safe!

The Kodiak costs more because Dan Wesson uses all forged and fitted parts in their 1911s. Springfield uses metal injection molded or "MIM" parts in their 1911s which is done to save money.
