I saw the De-leading hand wipes sold on here said in bold letters do not use on firearms. Why can't you wipe the outside off? Is there any De-leading wipes made to wipe off firearms as well?

There are wipes for firearms, treated patches as well. Check out Remington Rem Oil Pop Up Gun Cleaning Wipes or Hoppe's Treated Gun Cleaning Patches.
