William, the XD 45 will give you the same reliability and will be actually a bit more ergonomic as far as hand fitment in my opinion. I have the XDM in 10mm and would put it up against my Glock 20 any day of the week. Cheers and stay safe!

The xd is a very reliable pistol.  The trigger is better than the glock.

I would pick the xd over the glock any day. I have an XDM in .40 and a glock 23, The xd has less recoil than the glock

William, You've been shopping for a handgun for a while now. If you want the G30 just be patient and get one. The G30SF is just a Gen 3 G30 that has a grip like the smallest grip on the Gen 4 G30. If the G30SF is available get it. I have several SA XDM's. Some people do not like the grip safety. I don't notice it.  I like them, but will not buy from Springfield any longer.
