This is my first AR-15, so before the purchase I did quite a bit of research....shot a few different guns....talked to several folks.....read several articles, etc. The truth is that there's a LOT of difference in various AR's.....it's almost like there's no two alike. I am 6'4" plus with a long reach such that most AR's seem quite "carbiny" ( my original word )......yes, the stocks are adjustable for length of pull, but the front end of most variants are on the shorter side. I wanted some real estate to stretch out and get comfortable with my forward arm.....hate that bunched up feeling, like you're holding a toy gun! You won't find any more real estate on a 16" barrel than this gun offers! I removed those shorty rail sections and sourced a MOE angled forgrip for the 6 o'clock position....love it! DPMS does offer this gun without the towering front ( A4 I think they call it ) sight, but I think I'll be happy with the durability offered by that front sight infrastructure, PLUS it offer
Hi Korey, upper and lower should have little to no wobble. But, if it has just a little, it's nothing a $4 Accu-Wedge cannot tighten right up.
