Dan, it can be done but is not recommended. I have fired 40S&W from Glock's, Rock Island Armory 10mm 1911's and EAA Witness 10mm's but do not make a practice of it. I do not in general for safety and warranty purposes.

You can use a 180 grain .40 cal bullet in this gun.
