With deep cut Ballard rifling what kind of bullet would be the most accurate? I reload 45 colt and typically use a hard cast lead 200 grain RNFP. I also use a 240 grain XTP bullet. Which would work best. I was told the Ballard rifling works best with lead bullets but I need conformation. Thanks.

Charles, the Ballard rifling working best with Lead Bullets is correct. Your Hard Cast lead 200 grain RNFP loads will work best accuracy wise. The 240 grain XTP bullet will have decent accuracy as well so try both. Cheers and stay safe!

it will work great with lead bullets the 200 grains SHOULD be best but you never know what a certain gun will like so try both
