No, its as easy as buying shoes. And the computer walks you through it. Buds likely has every gun store in your area on file already. Just select the one you want it shipped to. Then after it arrives, you'll do hour background check at your local gun store. Longest part is entering credit card info. And you contact no one ever, just select delivery store and wait until you can pick it up. Its super easy.

Hi Bob. You will need to create an account if you don't have one already at Buds. Add the pistol to your cart - select checkout - Enter your Zip code and select your nearest FFL dealer - Select payment method and pay. Credit Card payment is fine but you will pay the retail price. ACH Bank draft or E-check will get you the "Cash" price.

You can do a mock checkout (without confirming) to see what local stores in your area are already on Buds approved FFL list. This will give you a feel of how easy it is.

it is very easy find your gun look on the ffl in your area on the list pay with a credit card in 2 or 3 days you get a call from your ffl and go in fill out there paper pass the backround check take it home and enjoy

Debit card is fine and considered same as a credit card. They put no hold or fees on it. Only the gun price is charged and any optional insurance you buy. Buds offers a added lifetime warranty, but keep in mind most guns come with a manufacturers warranty and you won't need to add it.

All of the answers you have received so far are great. I might suggest though that when you start looking at FFLs on Bud's list, check their fee for the transfer. You might be surprised as to how much they might vary. Prior to my relocating to Tennessee from Texas, there was a FFL not far from my home that charged $10 per form. Since the ATF form can do 3 (maybe 4?) firearms per transfer, it was a very reasonable rate. Many FFL's charge on average $20 to $25 per gun.
