Will the REM BBL 1100 Deer 12 Ga, 21 FR RS fit on a 1973 model 1100? Also what does the BBL FR and RS stand for? Thank you for your help. I am new at changing out barrels.

John, Yes the Remington factory replacement barrel will fit and function just fine on your 1973 model 1100. No problem. On this deer barrel FR stands for "Fully Rifled" barrel has rifling entire barrel length. RS means "Rifle Sights" so there are sights on the barrel. Bbl is the industry standard abbreviation for barrel

Yes it will (it fits my 1968 Remington 1100 as well as my 2019 sporting 1100) RS is rifle sights and FR is a full rifled barrel
