Is this ammo safe to shoot in my CZ82? I have problems with it reliably feeding Hornady Critical Defense. Would never dream of using in any of my East German Makarovs.

its safe but it will accelerate wear on the gun. I would shoot just enough to know its a reliable round and then carry it for self defense while using standard velocity ammo for the range

Larry, This all steel gun will handle this Buffalo Bore round. The CZ82 was  not designed with hollow points in mind. May be the issue with the Critical Defense bullet shape.

Larry, it will work no issue. I have the CZ82 and shoot BB, Underwood and Doubletap and I highly recommend upgrading to the Wolff X-Tra power 18lb recoil spring from the factory 14.5lb recoil spring. Most guns will cycle the ammo but not everyone will with the lighter rounds. JHP have less grain and dont make as much recoil. Without the extra grain it wont make the gun cycle. if you get them try them before you EDC with it
