Morrell, some of Buds firearms give you an option of selecting an available firearm. Some folks purchase multiple firearms and may want sequential serial numbers of select a best fit serial number for various other reasons. Cheers and stay safe!
I just put it in my cart ad was never asked for a serial number so i am not sure what you are asking about and if it does it again you should Contact Buds customer service (859) 368-0371 available 9AM to 9PM EST Monday through Friday or use the blue chat now button and they will help you We are not buds employees we are volunteers that answer questions
Some firearms give you the option of choosing your serial number. Some people like certain numbers.

Morrell, Selecting your own serial number out of available numbers is just a value added service BUDs offers on a select number of firearms. You can go with luck of the draw if you don't see a serial number you would prefer. Does not cost anything extra to get an unique serial number that might mean something to you.
