I took my brand new Walther Colt 1911 22LR Government out to the range recently and ran the first 100 rounds of Winchester 40 grain round nose copper plated ammo thru it. On at least 7 occasions the next round failed to load. I had to pull back the slide and manually advance the next round. Any ideas group? Pistol too new? Winchester ammo a bad choice? I would welcome any ideas or suggestions.

ammo should be fine. Likely needs to be broke in. Also would advise to polish the fees ramp. Wouldn't hurt to take it down and clean factory oil off and clean and lube yourself per directions.  Good luck

Tear it down and give it a good cleaning.  Polish the feed ramp.  Put another 500 rounds through it and see if it straightens up.

try it with cci 40 grain mini mags most 22lr pistols are very ammo picky but the CCI works in all my 22lr handguns

I would break in down and clean and oil it. It probably just needs cleaned up and broken in. If the problem persists I would call Walther customer support @ 479-242-8500 ext 507 or email @ customerservice@waltherarms.com
