It all depends on how hot the loads are, but in general is say about like double that of just a 38spcl. Its really hard to describe bit its not horrible at all. Check out people shooting them on YouTube for a better idea. Good luck

Mark, recoil will be proportionate to the power of the load you are firing. Heavy loads will tax the wrists a bit. The SP101 can handle them though. with heavy 357 loads it will have a good amount of recoil it is a gun best suited for practice with 38 specials and carry with 357
