Leland, being a Semi-Auto Shotgun, any one of the 3 restricted featured eliminates it from being legal in IL. (1). Pistol Grip (2). Telescoping/Folding Stock and (3) A fixed magazine capacity in excess of five rounds. Details under Shotguns here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf
Depends on what part of Illinois, If you live in Cook County, Highland park, or the city of Aurora, it is not legal. Everywhere else in Illinois it is. The restrictions that people posted (https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf) Clearly shows that those are the only area's with those restrictions.
