Stan, No, you can not put a 5.56 upper on a M&P 15-22 lower. The pins won't line up, and there is no buffer or buffer spring, or even a "buffer tube" for that matter in the lower.

Stan, No. The lower is just plastic. No buffer tube or spring. Trigger is totally different. Can convert .223/5.56 M&P 15 Sport to 22 lr, but not S&W M&P Sport 15 22 lr to .223/5.56.

no they are totally different lowers and the uppers (barrel assemblies) will not fit also the mags will not interchange
