Frank, Yes this semi-auto shotgun is legal in NY but not in NJ.. If you hit the link of NJ not NY regs on James G's answer and look under shotgun you will see this:--------The following are prohibited: ✘ A semi-automatic shotgun with either a magazine capacity exceeding six rounds, a folding stock or a pistol grip. But in New York here are the shotgun regulations:-----------------The following are prohibited: ✘ Semi-automatic shotguns that have one or more of the following features: 1. Folding / telescoping stock 2. Thumbhole stock 3. Fore-grip 4. Fixed magazine over 10 rounds 5. Ability to accept a detachable magazine
