Christopher, I have 4 and my 16year old daughter has no issue racking the slide. The easiest purpose built firearm for slide racking and loading id the M&P Shield EZ : https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/101525/smith+%26+wesson+m%26p+shield+380+ez+36%22+8%2b1
its like most 9mm compact guns the easiest to rack is the shield ez https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/101525/smith+%26+wesson+m%26p+shield+380+ez+36%22+8%2b1
You would be better off looking at a S&W/M&P 9mm EZ. Not only the slide is designed for Easy use but also the mags are very easy to reload and will work better for someone with arthritis in my opinion. Stay safe and have a great day!!
Christopher, Obviously the S&W EZ line racks easiest. That what it was designed for. Instead of worrying about racking a slide on a semi-auto just get the impaired person a revolver. Round capacity is not much different. How far will arthritis advance where a slide cannot even be gripped?
